But there are certain ones I cannot live without:ġPassword. I've been using it since like 2006 or something. It has only gotten better and more useful. Many people got super angry when it became subscription-I HATE subscriptions normally, but the annual price is totally worth it, especially if you're using it for a family.įantastiCal. I'd put all of this effort filling them up and then never open them. I had to use Outlook for work, I was using iCal for my own personal stuff. And they didn't play nice with each other. Plus, I hated going into Outlook and clicking on Zoom/Meet links for every work meeting. Suddenly, FantastiCal brought it all together, put the next meeting in the menubar WITH a link, and I was never late or missing a thing. I got the whole family and personal calendar thing sorted in a way that's easy for everyone. I'm anti-subscription as a general rule, but this one is a reasonable annual, and I definitely get my money's worth.Īffinity Photo + Designer + Publisher. I have the Adobe suite on my work computer and I'm super fast in Photoshop particularly. But as I keep mentioning, I HATE subscriptions and I don't want to be paying Adobe $100 a month for the rest of my life to do a modest amount of design and graphic work on my home computer. I have had a ton of success with the Affinity suite. I'm still not as fast in them as Adobe, but I love the one-time and very reasonable cost. Getting stuff to and fro from a Mac and iPhone can get messy or frustrating or both. Especially when you want to play an MKV video, or you want to listen to music in something other than Apple Music. Or you just want to backup your device and not use Apple's broadstrokes solution with minimal config and potential data overwriting and loss every time you sync if you check the wrong box. iMazing does a ton of great things like backups, file exploration and exporting, etc. But the best is quick transfer of things from Mac to devices with a simple drag and drop.
